We would like to share with you and update with the latest news of the situation in our beautiful destination:
As the global COVID-19 situation continues, Los Cabos’ State and Local Authorities continue to work in unity to strengthen the destination’s health and security protocols in order to contain the spread of the virus. The health and safety of our community and visitors is our utmost priority.
In light of this global emergency and heightened travel restrictions across several countries, including the most recent U.S. travel restriction, we have made the careful decision to temporarily close Cabo Villas Beach Resort & Spa, as part of our continued efforts to mitigate the spread of the virus.
Opening date to be confirmed, Federal Authorities pending to confirm official date
Travel and tourism industry is the heartbeat of Los Cabos supporting 90% of the economy. As such, it is extremely important that public and private organizations continue working together to protect the health, safety, and economy of Los Cabos, taking the following enhanced measures to ensure the safety and well-being of travelers and residents of Los Cabos:
Screening measures at the San José International Airport and ports throughout Baja California Sur to conduct passenger wellness checks, i.e. taking the temperatures of all arriving passengers.
Containment measures in place should a passenger register an abnormally high temperature and exhibiting potential symptoms of the virus.
Background checks for all passengers to confirm where they have traveled in the past 14 days.
Health protocols and medical decisions to be made by the security committee that was previously assembled by state authorities to advise during this crisis.
If necessary, the state health ministry will increase capacity by adapting additional care units outside hospitals and equipping them with respiratory equipment.
Hospitals will expand their use of telemedicine, both within their facilities and to reach patients at home. People feeling sick should stay at home and call the state’s emergency line # 800-BCS-COVID (800-227-26843) to be evaluated by a doctor.
With growing concerns around the coronavirus/COVID-19 pandemic, we will continue to follow the lead of public health authorities and the national government at this important time. We have communicated directly with team members as to next steps and continue to monitor this situation closely. Our hearts and thoughts go out to the people who have been affected by this unprecedented event. We appreciate the healthcare workers, local communities, and governments who are on the front lines working to contain the coronavirus.

While many of our members and loyal customers continue to vacation and can’t wait to hit the beaches, we understand that things may change. As such, I want to cover a few options that are available to any members who may have their upcoming travel plans impacted.
Booking new travel for 2020:
If you booked new travel for 2020 between May 1st to July 31st, 2020, and your travel plans are disrupted as a result of COVID-19, changes and or cancellations to those new reservations will be permitted without any fees to do so at this time.
